Video: There's an election coming. So too is growth. Are you ready?

With every general election there follows a boost to the economy. That’s what history has shown us and after the starved economic outlook we’ve all had to ensure since 2020, it’s safe to assume that this will be met with a universal ‘Yessss!’

But, is your business positioned to take advantage of the positive trading conditions that lie in wait around the corner?

In this short (3 mins) video, I’ll talk about the need for businesses to stop treating PR as a tool that gets you and your organisation’s name in the media of most importance and influence to you. Rather, the focus really must be on how you can – should – use PR as part of your ‘growth’ strategy.

Over the course of the next few minutes, I will use a real-life example based on an experience that I had when working for the global leader in its space during the 2008/09 recession.

I’ll explain how their decision to pause all PR activity during the downturn and resume it when the economy turned for the better proved to be the most catastrophic business decision they ever made and one that haunts them to this day.
