Standing out from the crowd

360Leaders are dedicated to finding and attracting the right leaders to impact the global technology industry, from their offices in London, Oslo and Stockholm. They are one of the largest in Europe – ranked third –  and place senior level tech professionals across the continent.

The challenges they faced were in increasing their presence in the media and positioning themselves as thought-leaders in a very well populated space. Their communications aspirations are driven by a desire to raise their profile within the press in order to drive new business opportunities.

The objectives

The 360Leaders account has a few key objectives:

  • Utilise social media platforms to engage their network, potential future clients and candidate talent pool
  • Increasing profile in target press and media
  • Position senior leadership team as thought-leaders in the tech search function

Measurable social media success

Clearly PR adopted a social media strategy that saw content being posted in line with the current news agenda, reporting on trending European tech, diversity, start-up, venture capital and industry specific news. Tailoring content regularly for this account saw followers and engagement rocket over an eight-month period.

From April 2019 to May 2019, upon the adoption of this new strategy, organic engagement on LinkedIn grew 325 per cent on the month before. Growth continued thereafter, by an average of around 50 per cent each month.

Media outreach

World Mental Health Day 2019

To coincide with World Mental Health Day, against a stunning backdrop of The City, Tower Bridge and the heartland of the UK’s tech hub, 360Leaders gathered a collective of senior tech leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss mental health in the tech sector.

In the panel discussion held on 8th October 2019, they were joined by James McErlean, General Manager at Headspace for Work, Stephen Waterman, Chief Operating Officer at Hero and Stephen Bourke, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer of Echo.

ClearlyPR supported 360Leaders with the marketing, promotion and preparation for the event, as well as attending and supporting with press outreach following the event too. This received coverage in Diginomica from Cath Everett –  a big win for 360Leaders, as a target publication for them, and well-regarded outlet by their client base.

Time to Talk Day 2020

360Leaders gathered some interesting statistics and voice notes from the Mental Health in Tech event in October 2019, and ClearlyPR suggested re-purposing this for Time to Talk Day on 6th February 2020.

This was covered by TechRound, another key target publication for their sector.

On the back of this piece of coverage, the CEO was offered a speaking opportunity at an event in Oslo in May 2020, which was a key opportunity within the sector.

International Women’s Day

An important focus for 360Leaders has always been on encouraging and nurturing diversity and inclusion throughout the tech sector, both within their placements, and through internal hiring.

A piece of coverage was secured with WeAreTheCity, on the subject of what International Women’s Day means to them, and this showcased one of the Senior Associates for 360Leaders.
